Helping Katrina's Animal Victims

These groups need your help.  They are actively trying to rescue   stranded animals from the ravaged Gulfcoast:    Please help anyway you can.   One small emergency shelter in Slidell, LA, already has over 300 dogs - they are overwhelmed  - if you can send supplies, food, or money, please help out.

http://www.petfinder.org/disaster/    -  Emergency Shelter listing for those affected by the hurricane, as well as a status of some of the Shelters, Rescue groups and veterinary clinics that housed animals in Mississippi &  Louisiana   A good resource.  They list shelters for exotics and birds as well as dogs and cats.  This is a good place to make a general Katrina animal donation as they will make sure the funds are allocated to the right place.

http://www.noahswish.org/disaster_assessment.htm  -  Noah's Wish is a not-for-profit, animal welfare organization, with a straightforward mission.  We exist to keep animals alive during disasters.  That's it.   Donations are desperately needed and can be made at WWW.NOAHSWISH.ORG. Donations go directly to help the animals of this disaster and cash is preferred as it allows the organization to purchase the supplies needed. Questions should be emailed to info@noahswish.org or a message can be left at 530-622-9313.
